DENISE JEFFERY

Chiropractor

DC, MTech Chiro, CCFC

From a very early age, I knew that I wanted to devote my life to the service of others. The medical field was an obvious choice for me, combining a love of science with my desire to help those in need.

As a member of my regional gymnastics team, I was regularly exposed to musculoskeletal injuries and their treatment. I came to understand that chiropractors are uniquely able to identify the root cause of a patient’s problem, treat the condition and also advise on short-term and long-term rehabilitation techniques.

I headed into chiropractic college in 1993 at Technikon Natal in South Africa. This entailed 5 years of studying for a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic, and a 2-year internship with a community service component. I was fortunate enough during my student years to receive a full scholarship and was then awarded the Patricia Rosemary Jamison Award, which allowed me to start a small private practice immediately after qualifying. I also completed a further certificate in Chiropractic Foot Care.

I have been in practice for 22 fantastic years, treating patients from new-born to 104 years of age, from the sedentary to national athletes, and enjoy all aspects of my work.

In early 2020, I decided to join my regional Chiropractic Association Committee and was rapidly thrust into the Chairperson role. My proudest achievement was an initiative I started (along with my fantastic committee) for students in need, which continues to this day and has since been rolled out nationally in South Africa.

Looking to the future, myself and my family decided that a new adventure was in order. We made the decision in 2022 to move to the UK, when Michael and Linda at Creative Chiro offered us the wonderful opportunity of living and working in idyllic North Norfolk. I look forward to a long and wonderful career at the Practice alongside my fantastic colleagues.
